Bayer Faces 78 Trasylol Suits, CEO Says Portfolio Media, New York (April 25, 2008)--Bayer AG is facing 78 lawsuits in the United States over its blood-clotting medication Trasylol, which has been linked to kidney failure and an increased chance of death, the company's chief executive reportedly told shareholders Friday. "We are not aware of any lawsuit outside the United States," Bayer CEO Werner Wenning said at a shareholder meeting, Reuters reported.
